Our projects are all within South African township communities and are related to education, skills development, enterprise development and healthcare.
Socio-Economic Development (SED)
The beneficiaries of Rhiza Babuyile’s projects are all historically disadvantaged individuals, meaning that 100% of our beneficiaries are black. This has been recognised through our Beneficiary Recognition Rating where we have been certified as having a 100% B-BBEE SED recognition and 100% Black Beneficiary Base. This means that 100% of a company’s donation towards SED will count as SED spend according to B-BBEE legislation. A big part of our SED are our Skills Development projects. Donations towards these projects can be part of a companies BEE skills development strategy.
Enterprise and Supplier Development
Our focus regarding BEE is shifting slightly towards ESD. Through our business hubs in Diepsloot and Orange Farm (from July 2016) we incubate, train, guide and provide a platform for starting businesses. Corporates can sponsor a business or the hubs where these businesses operate from and in that way spend their ESD funds.
Our startup businesses from the townships are your ideal procurement partner. There is an extensive training and mentoring programme in place in order to effectively ensure professionalism and excellent services.
Rhiza Babuyile is over 67% black owned, the Babuyile Community Development Trust (BCDT) is 100% black owned. For B-BBEE ownership points we encourage companies to donate shares to BCDT. For enterprise and skills development purposes Rhiza Babuyile opened a 100% black owned company called Township Fleva.
