Diepsloot: we have worked in Diepsloot since 2014. Diepsloot is the first community where we implement projects within all four of our programmes being healthcare, skills development, enterprise development and education. According to recent counts Diepsloot has approximately 1 million inhabitants, whom are mostly historically disadvantaged individuals. Major socio-economic issues in Diepsloot relate to poverty, unemployment, HIV/AIDS and crime.
Orange Farm: in 2013 we started working in the Orange Farm area through an educational project. We currently have projects in Skills Development and Education, we will implement projects within healthcare and enterprise development in 2016-2017. Orange Farm’s location is in far proximity of any real opportunities, so the major problem is this community is unemployment and the socio-economic challenges that are related to unemployment.
In 2017 we will add Thabong and Fisantekraal as primary project areas.
