Strengthen Agricultural Productivity
In our commitment to improving food security and expanding economic participation, we work directly with under‑resourced communities to unlock the potential of the land they live on. Through our Agripreneurship Programme, we support individuals to see farming not only as a means of subsistence, but as a viable, profitable and dignified livelihood. The programme is delivered through a series of designed training interventions that use active, experiential learning to engage trainees and expose them to the real economic potential of agriculture.
Across our two farming sites, we implement tailored learning pathways that respond to different community contexts while maintaining a strong focus on practical skills, employability and business sustainability.

Learners enrol in a structured 12‑month experiential learning journey designed to build both technical competence and personal confidence in agriculture. During the first three months of the programme, learners are based full‑time on the farm, where they receive foundational and hands‑on training in crop production, soil health, irrigation systems, farm operations, and basic agribusiness principles. This phase creates a supported learning environment where theory is applied immediately, allowing learners to gain confidence through direct practice and tangible outcomes.
Following this introductory phase, learners transition into a nine‑month placement on a commercial farm. Here, they are immersed in the realities of large‑scale agricultural production and exposed to professional operational systems, productivity targets and workplace expectations. This experience deepens their understanding of the agricultural value chain and prepares them for the demands of employment or enterprise development within the sector.

Learners participate in a full 12‑month NQF Level 4 programme, a nationally recognised vocational qualification aimed at preparing participants for skilled employment or agripreneurship in the agricultural sector. This programme builds on foundational agricultural learning and equips learners with advanced technical competencies, structured workplace experience, and business‑oriented training. The emphasis is on producing graduates who are not only job‑ready, but capable of managing and growing viable agricultural ventures.
Throughout both learning pathways, our focus remains firmly on practical knowledge, real‑world application, and sustainable income generation. These programmes are designed to ensure that learners walk away with more than just agricultural skills. They gain the confidence, discipline, business insight and lived experience needed to build resilient livelihoods.
By nurturing agripreneurs who can cultivate both the land and their own economic futures, we are contributing to stronger, more self‑reliant communities and playing an active role in building a more food‑secure and economically resilient society.
